Don't forget tires or a winter wheel/tire package. You'll need it asap if you plan on driving the car this season. It's not a power mod but it's a substantial expense to keep in mind before you buy other stuff.

yea stock advans are useless in the cold, first mod was a K&N drop in filter. After i installed my TBE, i put my forge diverter valve in. The car holds boost much better now between shifts. Honestly the diverter valve was just as important as changing my exhaust, the drivability now is much better.

turbo timer was my first...I keep telling myself to hold on to the power mods and do the suspensions first since I attend track days quite often. But after riding in my buddy's 325whp IX MR, my car feels like a Corolla now compare to his

 

after i broke the car in i got an HKS hi-power exhaust, hks drop in filter and a hks turbo timer..lol lots of hks stuff

that was my first purchase of many more to come

 

Tinted windows, then TBE

 

I normally recommend a TBE and a intake as a first mod. From there I would go with a flash and boost controller.

Intake and Turboback

 

mine was a perrin downpipe

 

at 500 miles i put on a catless TBE, Boost gauge and Agency Power recirculation BOV

500 Later a Hallman MBC

 

ecu flash alone yielded me 35whp..

 

First thing I did was a flash.

 

First was springs (got coilovers now!) to get rid of the monster truck look. Then catback and 30% tint.
