Dammit 3 evos in 1 month

im really **** off. i return my evo a few minutes ago, heres my story....

1) went to Rey Reece in portland, OR to check out their evos which they had only 3 (small dealership share by VW). we decided to buy the grey MR none SE. my brother and i run our own business and the store was under his name so i was co signing it bcoz it was gonna be my car. We waited 5 hrs for the financing office and started to get **** bcoz the sale person kept on lying to us "only a few more minutes". after all the paper work turns out the car had 214 miles on it...we decided not to buy it and switch it...

2)so it was getting late, we switch the car to a silver MR SE with 7 miles on it and finish the paper work the next day. we did all the paper work and took off with the car 3 days later they call us and told us to come back and redo the paper work since we're too young WTF (24 yrs old) and need more credit, both of us had more then 5 yrs of credit (good enough for 8% apr). at this point they wanted not 1 but 2 yrs worth of yearly income (W2 form) copies. typical of capital one. we were not approve anymore...from what they said we didnt make enough income (which we bought a house and 3 cars in only a 2 yr period). they also said the guy that approve us was on vacation...dont know how this happen but F****!!!. now the only way was to down grade to the SE...which we did.

3) ok whew sorry guys for the bad grammer...not feelin too great right now, but last one. we end up getting the SE...again waited 3 hrs for the FKing financing office. we're now approve!!! took the evo home for almost a month now and then capital one BS with us again. now they want a copy of my W2 forms from me (co signer) too now not 1 but 2 yrs, but the fact is that i dont have documented yearly income meaning i couldnt provide them with any fact that i am employ. we ended up returning the car.

we called them early this morning and told them that we gonna be returning the car and that they have the money ready for us...they said yes, that simple. when we went there, they were pretty pissed off. the owner (600 pounds) comes out and talks to us. he said he was gonna be nice and not sue us for false statment, but the fact is that we told the sale person about our situation and he said even if i dont have a documented yearly income im just co-signing it and that the car was gonna be based on the actual signer which was ok. then they told us they wont give us the money back until monday...i told them to sign a statement saying that we will get our refund. they wouldnt sign it and we argue for awhile. while he went to his room and close his door and we just left. they better refund my money back grrr....or else

grey MR = 35,500
silver MR SE = 35,900 (trade)
silver SE = 31,880 (F***ers worldnt make it even 31,000 or 31,500)

I've never heard of that before. Once you signed those documents in their office the vehicle was legally your's. CapitalOne has NO right to harass you further. You did not have to return the vehicle, you had all ready financed it. That is ridiculous.

^Not true. A lot of times the financing is approved at the dealership, but the actual financing still needs final approval from the bank. My wife is a finance manager so I know how it works.

get pre approved by a credit union first will make you trip much easier, then just go in with a check from credit union done deal.

yes!!! thats what I thought too...right when i gave them the FU**IN MONEY!!!. on the second evo i drove there... i had my bros last yr w2 statement but not the '04 (which they told me that they only needed to recopy the 2005 form). i told them that i will go back and get it they told me that at this moment i cant drive the car until they had the copy on there hands or else the car was gonna get repo. so either i was escorted to my house with a sales person or call someone to get the 2004 form

Maybe this shyould be in the regional forum...?
Hey, it might be late, but I had nothing but good experiences with OnPoint CU. Getting the loan was very very simple. You get approved, finish your Papers at the branch, then walk into the dealer and drive out. They offer preety decent rates as well.

I am surprised you went to Ray reece...I guess Beaverton Mitsu does suck, but I was pretty determind that OR Mitsu delares blow(I had horrible experiences at beaverton and Town and country...Town and country IS THE WORST DEALER EXPERIENCES I've ever had) I went up the Renton Mitsu in Seattle and They were fantastic, what a bunch of great people. Gave me the invoice price in first 3 minutes of the phone and put 500$ deposit, DONE.

I hope things will get fixed for you...sounds like you got caught in the loophole

Absolutely correct! Everything is SUBJECT TO APPROVAL Trust me i'm a sales manager at my family's dealership Regardless of what the salesperson wrote or told you to write on the credit application, you signed it. Just give them the car back and MAKE SURE you get your money back.

It took 3 weeks because their finance manager was shotgunning your application everywhere trying to get it approved In the end he simply couldn't get it approved anywhere.

Wrong. Car dealerships do this all the time. It's called car spotting and it's perfectly legal, though unethical. This is why it's a good idea to have pre-arranged financing before even going to the dealership, if at all possible.

Was there any reason in particular why they told you to wait until Monday? The only reason I could think of would be to give themselves a little bit more time to find a bank to approve you. Now that they have their car back they can take their sweet time finding a bank. There's one of three end results here:
1- they find a bank to finance you at the interest rate on the original contract. Great you have your car.
2- they find a bank to finance you at a higher interest rate. If that's the case they WILL want you to SIGN a NEW contract. But keep in mind YOU DON'T HAVE TOO. So if the rate is too high just tell them to go Screw themselves and cancel the deal.
3- You return the car. They return the money. It's as if no deal was ever made.

Please keep us posted on what happens. Just go in there on Monday and keep it real with them. It's part of the car business, that's all. It should work out fine.

yea thats what ima do on monday. that 600 pound jack a$$ gave us an extremely hard time. he kept telling us it was our fault and that he can sue us bcoz i was co-signing and didnt a documented employment . he was talking about he wasnt very happy bcoz he had the car for more then 2 weeks, but its not our fault they dont know how to do there job the correct way telling us to go back and fourth to there dealership. i guess this is how it normally is when you finance though small dealership but i could be wrong

but as of right now....

evo = 0
money = 0

IT is THEIR fault.....they said you were approved and gave you the keys. Not like you twisted their arm to give you the keys. You shouldnt get blamed because they are stupid. If they had any doubt that you guys would be approved they should not have sold you the car, but since they are the retarded ones, they can only blame themselves.....sounds like they trying to pin blame on you, when you had no control over anything.

Only way they can screw you is if you gave them fake documents. And even if you did they should have checked your credit......so I dunno man that dealership sounds like a piece of $hit
