i think you can buy just the HID projector part of the housing from mitsu if you want to open up the housing to install them.
UPDATE-nevermind, i couldn't find them, but there was a guy selling just the projector part in the for sale section, so you might want to check. they were brand new. if he doesn't have them maybe shoot him a PM on where he got them.

If you're going to just get HID bulbs, go with the 4300K bulbs. 6000K bulbs sacrifice light output for the color.

Rubbish.

Hid's are lower wattage and thus lower heat that standard non hids.

You're right. I must have had a brain fart and was thinking of halogens. Thanks for correcting me.

When are you installing the curb feelers?

I used to live in NYC. The street lights are OK only if you stick to the avenues. Regardless, these folks are sure to give you props.

When you go to 6000k there isn't a whole hell of alot of difference..... I live in colorado in the middle of bum F*** nowhere with alot of deer and mine are bright as hell...... From the outside looking at them they are blue but from the inside they look white.

You know, thats what i thought to until i put the kaixenkits.com 6000k hid kit on my car(btw i have a 05 gsr). Asked my buddy to drive my car just so i can see what my lights look like from another person's view. Honestly i was suprised, looked much better then i thought. The funny thing is, everytime a acura tl or tsx approach me the glare on there hid's is horrible, and those are factory hid's.

my first evo did not come with HIDs (but i had them put in) and my new evo has the factory ones. I will be 100% honest that the ONLY difference was little hotspots and not an as clean cut-off line (the cut-off line in the factory HIDs really isnt that much better). My aftermaket HIDs were the 6000k kit from xenondepot.com and they were wonderful.

click here to see pics and read my review.

My friend had 7300k hid's in his car and said he saw amazing. Everything was bright for him and there was no sacrifice for lite output from the stocks he had. So I'm going with 8000k cuz I want the blue color and he said I'll see fine with no problems.. I mean I don't want blinding lite. I want something that looks good and is still better then stock. And it still will be.
