Quality CF products
Hey whats going on guys? I got an Evo IX in TB and i making my car black with red accents and of course CF but the question is what is some good realiable companies to go with as far as CF Vortex Generator, Side Spats, and pilliar trim, let me know what u guys think?
seibon is a great company and have nothing but quality parts. fitment is amazing as well. I have a seibon carbon fiber hood, and hatchback, and plan on getting the carbon doors as soon as I get another daily driver and turn the car into a track *****
i heard that the fitment on the seibon trunk isnt very good, and i dont think it is very light weight either. if you are getting cf trunk or hood i would get the one that robispec sells if you want the oem style, there are other ones out there too that are nice. as far a vortex generator get the seibon one and seibon is good on everything else.

I've had a Seibon carbon cf hood and if you do a search...(despite what the guy above me claims) seibon cf hoods on an evo will yellow and crack by the hood vents in good time. People can claim its good quality but they just don't know better and I don't mean to offend anyone by saying that. It may work well on a Supra, but the Supra doesn't have hood vents like our evos. Seibon does not use a quality clear coat, take it to a body shop and they'll straight out tell you. They use gel matter that doesn't protect for crap. BTW Seibon weave really sux too, every one i've seen has imperfects in various areas.
NOW if your talking about QUALITY CF then seibon should not even be in this conversation. Quality CF has a perfect 1x1 weave that is consistent in a straight diagonal pattern. Quality CF looks almost black in photographs. Look up rexspeed or those who have the HKS KANSAI cf hood or the CWest cf hood. Varis is awesome as well as it incorporates a 2x2 cf weave that is consistent in pattern. For trunks, the above companies are also great. Quality parts aren't cheap and if its quality you want and little imperfections in a seibon hood bug the hell out of you like they bug me, then you should just spend the moeny and get a nice hood. Getting something like Seibon is such a waste even though it is half price. Because yes it does look nice when your driving by and it does look nice from 10 feet away. However stand right in front of the hood and you will notice all the little tidbits that wouldn't be there if you had just spent the money on a quality hood. With that being said, I have gone back to the stock hood and will never buy another cf hood again unless its a top notch hood.
