hondafan, is it normal for violent bucking though? I mean the car bucks like the trans and trans case are going to rip out.

Not only does it leak @ 17 psi, granted it is a small leak. It soundds like crap. If I were to go with anything other than stock on a BOV it would make a loud whistle instead of a hiss. By the way this GReady BOV was on the car when I bought it.

it'll buck pretty good. did you try letting off totally when slowing off partial boost? as opposed to just letting up some? also, sounds like your RS needs adjusted some. have you done a boost leak test on your evo yet? you should definitely. i owned my car since new and check it quite often and have found multiple leaks. it will also tell you if it's definitely the RS and not something else leaking the boost. then you can tighten it up accordingly. i'd also check to make sure the RS still has both springs in it, as some folk think it works better with one which is not the case.

i agree. i gave a few things to check. greddy diaphragms tend to go out once in a while but are replaceable. if you take it apart to check for both springs, check the diaphragm for tears as well.

No internet last night. My computer was down. Great advise on the bov diaphragm!! I found a small tear and a chunk of dirt/oil. I will either replace te diaphragm or get a new bov. Also as far as I know there was a leak test ran by the previous owner of the car about once a month. But I have not done one yet.
