bolt on's and meth or big turbo?

im wondering what would be a better decision to go with

A. big turbo and supporting mods

B. meth and all the bolt ons and stock turbo

im trying to pull around 400whp and im figureing its going to cost about 3-4k for 400whp on the stock turbo...i havn't researched any turbo kits yet...and i dont know a whole lot about which supporting mods i'd need for a big turbo...im guessing injectors and some kind of fuel control....anyway your guys opinions would be nice...thanks

btw i drive a stock 06 gsr....all i have is mbc so far. thanks

if you want 400 whp stock turbo on meth will do fine. for a bigger turbo you will need pretty much all of the mods needed to max out stock turbo and bigger turbo kits usually cost anywhere from 3-7 grand so i dont think they are in your budget, i would stick w/ stock turbo if you are trying for 400 whp

You are going to need all the bolt ons regardless. So in essence you have two choices...

All bolt ons (except cams) + alky w/ proper tune will give you about 400 whp but you'll be maxed out on the stocker...

OR

All bolt ons w/ 50 trim kit on 93oct will give you about 400-420whp on 93 oct with proper tune... ~$3K

The advantage of going with the second option is being able to pop on the meth kit 6 months down the road along with a new tune and put down about 450-460whp...

bolt-ons and meth have to come first anyway, otherwise your big turbo will be a laggy POS with less power and slower spool than ppl who already have bolt-ons and meth.

im thinking about gettin a buschur alky kit for 500 and i have the bolt ons including cams, so why does it say except cams above, are cams bad for alky, cuz i wanna get alky now with all my bolt ons, and later down the road, prob get a 50 trim or 30 r, so basically, whats wrong with cams and alky, i wanna run high 300's now so like 380 390

its your pick..i ran acrooss the same problem this summer but i decide to go big turbo bc of the killer deal i got from slowmotion motorsports. my car was pretty much bone stock before i toke it in( all i had was mbc) and when i left i paid 5grand which include aem ems, built head, 35R kit, intercooler and piping, boost, oil, wideband gauges, full 3" exhaust and tuned. i made good power, reving to 8500, like i said there both goods way to go, but alot is also going to depend on how much you take care of your car, maintances.

you can take your car further and make a better judgement for yourself

get all the bolt-ons cept the exhaust manifold and intake since most turbo kits have their own.. you can run 400whp with your stock intake anyway...

if you think thats about what you need power wise ... then go get your meth and complete option B...

if you want abit more... then get the bigger turbo kits...
