I got it from a guy in Canada that was back in september. then it took another month in customs and 2k in paper work to get it here. I got it just after thanks giving and it is US legel and registered in Utah. I parked it and am going to rebuild the motor. I am going to go ahead and do everything that i can to the motor. I am selling my truck and will take the 8k and pu tit into my motor. where can i get the parts. i am looking for everything. no stroker kits. looking to make around 450hp. when i am done.

Many parts are similar to current Evos, including the engines. Search Euro and Japanese sites, see what you can find. The IV is kind of a red headed step child, it was the first Evo to have the stronger 'reversed' engine orientation, but still had a narrow track (width). The next model, the V, actually has a very very simlilar suspension setup to the current car. (Almost exact) As a result, the IV is largly passed over for Vs and VIs. Still a neat car though.

I thought Evos were not legal in Canada. Thats why a;; I've seen are Turboed Lancers.

And congrats on the Evo. Very nice ride, but be careful. Boosting is addicted!
