Its about time

Im finally getting ready to buy a IX this month. I got a new job that starts as soon as finals are over ($12/hour while in the shop and then working government sites is around $35/hour and working 40+ hours a week) I though about getting a Evolution through RnR Racing but the two cars are both modded 350+ AWHP and id rather get a new one so I know the history and I can do the mods I want. My only tossup is the color. Its between 3, Red, Blue, and Black. Ive heard that the reds dont have clear coats and I dont know why they wouldnt, it just seems stupid.

Rally Red-Have one red car already and I like it, I dont really care about the cops being able to see it because it stands out. Nothing better than a red sports car.

Electric Blue-There is something about that color that ive always liked. It makes the car look elegant and sexy.

Labrador Black-When washed/waxed it is one of the best looking colors but the only downfall is an hour later dust is already on the car and there is a lot of it where I live

I know it comes down to my decision but all 3 colors look amazing on the car. Its just a tossup right now and im getting ideas so I might as well make it a poll thread and see what color you like the best, last longest, as well as your personal opinions on the colors.

Tyler

05-06 RR have a clear coat.

Personally, I like the blue. Having lived with a black car for the last 15+ years, I'd never buy another.

Thanks for clearing up the RR clear coat problem for me. That played a big factor in buying a red one.

I had a red IX RS. If you like the color, by all means go for it. I'd only suggest taking a bit of time to take care of the paint, as red (generally) tends to fade quicker than other colors. If you clean the paint when you get the car and then apply some quality sealant followed by a good wax, the red should hold-up very well.

O the red finally has a clear coat on it, thats good to hear...

Im partial to the Electric Blue, but black looks damn nice whe clean. Just remember though no matter what color you get, Mitsus paint quality is crap.

My camaro is red and it looks like the day it came out of the factory. I can keep red up w/o any problems.
