idle question

was looking @ another evo like some of you told me to yesterday haha.. but anyways all the other evos ive test drove or looked @, werent like this one cuz

when engaging the clutch the idle changed, is that normal for you guys? you could tell by the sound of the engine once the pedal was in, and once released it changed again but i dont remember if it rose or lowered the RPM when i engaged the clutch but jus wanted sum input thanks!

The same thing happens to me when i am at idle. I have only noticed it for the last month... but then my cluch did just let go last weekend.

I remember seeing something on ecuflash with idle in neutral and idle in drive. The idle rpm is different in between the 2

well ya i know that.. but i was just idle in neutral in the lot stepping on the clutch and the RPM's were changing or u could @ least hear the engine change in sound.

If it is a cold day and the car's engine has just been started the oil in the transmission will be stiff. Letting out the clutch will cause the ECU to open the throttle body idle circuit to compensate.

First the idle will monentarily pull down and then you will hear the engine note increase since the engine is doing more work.
