New Car in Summer! Questions!
New Car in Summer! Questions!
Hey guys,
So i've finally saved up enough money to buy an Evo! I've been looking at a number of different cars, (Rsx-S, G35 6mt, 350z, Evo IX). I will not be buying this car until summer because I am currently going to school at UCI, and I plan on saving a little bit more money before I spend it on buying a car. I do however, still have a couple of questions:
1. I have ruled out the Rsx-s (fwd and the fact that its discontinued), I have also ruled out the 350z (two seater). What choices I have left now are the G35 6mt and the Evo IX. I know that these cars are both radically different. But I like what they both have to offer. I want something that is smooth, and can still seat more than 2 people, but I also want the performance that comes along with the Evo IX, along with its great looks. I have 6 months to decide between these two cars, and the question I have is: if you had to buy another car, and the decision was between an EVO or G35 what would it be and why?
2. In summer of 2007, what are the chances of finding an Evo IX at a dealer?
3. Am I better off just waiting until 2008/ 2009 for the new X's to come out and then buy a IX then?
Im 19 and I feel like for now, raw performance is good, but I also like some luxury. I cant have both, which sucks. Any feedback is appreciated!

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Here it comes -- this is an expensive car. Not for the faint of heart or a weak wallet. Id hold off until you have more money and all the supporting stuff - place, food, stuff...this car can own you rather than you owning it.
1. See above. And check out insurance rates.
2. Ah maybe, but more-than-likely no.
3. Ya IX (used) would be cheaper.
This has been beaten to death (Evo v. 350z/G35) please search.

sorry lol, maybe i was vauge. I have 34k in the bank put aside for the Evo already. I was planning on just paying it off in one swoop. I have money set aside for food and housing and school. You alll bring up a valid and common theme: maintenece. However, I do have a family friend that tunes evo's and has parts to service and help me maintain it when it needs to be done. So maintence wise, im not as worried. The new 2007 G35 is a 40,000 car, I plan on getting one used, and now that i have learned that it will be hard to find any new evo's, i guess i'll be looking for a used one too...Thank you for all your thoughts and opinions, I really appreciate it! I have a lot more research to do!
