New 9 mr owner

Hey guys I just wanted to introduce myself. I just picked up an 06 VIII MR. I freaken love it. At first i thought it was plentlyfast for a daily driver, but after having it for a while I'm thinking it needs to be faster... So i've been cruising these boards a while looking for a good path to take. I'm thinking that i may go with a 50 trim kit b/c every one says that they are amazing for a street car and that's exactly what mine is. So if you have any opinions what worked best for you or anything just post them up. Don't worry though im no newbie to forums and im not looking to be spoonfed any info. I heart the search button.
Also i just tryed to go buy a B&M short shifter today from summit racing, its down the street from my house, and they told me it wouldn't work on my MR b/c I have a six speed and the shifters are all made for the 5 speeds. Anyone have any more info on that or perhaps who makes a short throw for the MR? Thanks and i'll try to get pics up soon

Do you have a VIII or IX? You said its a 06 VIII?

ok so this is really weird. I feel like such a jackass. I have an Evo IX MR. I never really thought about it i guess b/c the dealership said that it was an VIII i thought. Well im sure that i now look like quite an idiot...
So on to my next question now that has been cleared up. (btw thank you all so much) Well does B&M make a short throw for the IX MR that i have?

lol nah man it doenst have to do with that.. im more into drag racing than road or autox, and with teh 6 speed, since my traps are going to be so high, im going to hvae to shift to 5th.. which means lost time
