Gas Milage

Not whining or anything just trying to get a baseline.

At 400 miles or so I calculated 20.83 mpg. This is 50/50 street/freeway.

I think this is pretty good actually for what this car is. Does it get better? I know it will get worse as I pass my break in threshold

Thanks.

it depends on your driving. the usual range with mixed driving is anywhere between 18-21mpg for stock cars. if you get a tune it'll increase since the tuner leans out the pig rich maps.

for the record..i average 20-2mpg1 on my stock 9 and i TRY to get good gas mileage. i got 23 mpg on my last half-tank, that's shifting anywhere between 2500-3000 rpm and cruising under 3000rpm (since mivec is working at 3k rpm)

I'm switching to E-85 so I will probably get like 160-170 per tank. But it does cost 30 cents a gallon less then premium so it kinda evens out.

You should be getting a little better, although it's all on how you drive.

My brother's turbo car gets great mileage. Staying under the boost is the key to it.

Normal driving with a few WOT runs.. I get 20-22 mpg. Not too bad. My Civic HB gets 35-38 mpg in city driving.. but it's a turd.

just fininshed my first tank and it got me 220 miles driving a mix of highway and city driving, quite a bit of reving but not that much boosting.

I've seen as low as 17 and as high as near 26 in my Evo IX. That high was on a trip through California, coming down from Shasta to Sacramento, so the hills probably had something to do with it. However, mid-20's were not uncommon on that trip. I did notice a major difference between cruising below 70 and cruising closer to 85, and the AC made a pretty big difference as well. I think the lowest I got on the trip (freeway) was about 21. But in-town driving (revving and boosting) I usually get 18-20 mpg. Still much better than the 14 I used to get in my Cobra before trading in for my Evo!
