What Turbo Timer????

I am lookin into buying a turbo timer for my 06 ww IX. I need ya'lls help on finding the right one that works the best. Suggestions on what turbo timer is the best would really be helpful. The IX is all stock for now and this will be my first "upgrade", so feel free to help me out. Thanks

I used the apexi in my 03 and in my IX, love it. You can get the plug and play harness for it from the lancer shop and its an ez installation. Besides turbo timer it gives you volt read out , o2 sensor,a/f ratio. Its small, looks good an works great. And its only about 110.00.

if you're going to buy an alarm buy one that has an integrated TT.

a TT isnt necessary if you take it easy and stay out of boost a little before your destination...thats what i do

you cant really go wrong with a TT. there's the greddy full auto, lotta people use one of the hks', the apexi is popular since its thin. the blitz is thin also. depends where you want to mount it

Don't really need a TT.

compustar with remote start has a built in turbo timer like the 2W900FMR, or the SS series. They also have the new Pro-series available. Most places have the viper 791's but they will not install remote start/turbo timer hence I opted for the compustar.

how does it allow for you r car to be stolen any easier???? Its not like it stays running for hours...Once you take the key out your steering wheel locks like normal and I know my GReddy TT has a safety so if you disengage the e-brake it it will automatically shut the engine off.

If your really concerned about getting your evo stolen then get an alarm w/ an integrated tt. But IMO if a good car thief who really know what he's doing wants your car, he will take it w/ or w/out an alarm, tt, etc....

i have the HKS Type-1 turbo timer which has lots of other uses for it... like 1/4 miles time, rpm, kph.... and a bunch of other stuff... and yeah i dont know how Turbo timers allows your car to be stolen esier... when i take the keys off the car the wheel locks the same and if you disengage the e-brake the car turns off....

its a great thing you want to have in any turbo car.... always let the turbo cool down a little! if you dont have time to wait every time you shut it off you will need a turbo timer! good luck man

it is specifically built for a manual transmission. if you search alarms on this site, most are using compustar. install is a little bit tedious but worth it.
