All the more reason he should have searched. There is no excuse being that there is a STICKY on the TOP of the page advising new members to search first. This reminds me of some people I know who never read instructions and wind up messing things up.

It goes without saying that any question/topic posted in the newbie forum, has probably already been answered elsewhere (perhaps even in the newbie forum). Given that fact, there are two kinds of appropriate responses to questions here:
  1. A responsive, directly helpful answer
  2. A suggested set of search keywords/options that will bring up a responsive answer on the first page of search results

If your answer does not fall into one of the two categories above, consider silence.

No, I am not a moderator, but this just seems like friendly common sense in a NEWBIE forum, for gosh sakes.
