New MR-Some Questions

Happy New Year.

I just bought a new black MR for my track car and have a few questions and would appreciate some opinions. Currently I am coming from a head/cam Z06 and now have a Mamba Viper. When I did my head/cam work tuning was a complete pain in the ***! I want to maximize performance on my EVO but reliability is key! I have some buddies from Road Atlanta that swear by AMS but Topspeed is closer but I have heard mixed reviews. Any thoughts comments on the best mods for reliability would be appreciated.

Love the car by the way, best time I have had since I was 16!

congrats on the EVO, as far as shops to use you will hear a wide variety of opinions here, but AMS definetly has a well deserved reputation. I am not familiar with Top Speed, so I can't recommend against them either.

Thanks.

I guess my only reservation is the fact that I will have to trailer the car from Atlanta to Chicago.. Money well spent it sounds like, maybe I should bite the bullet.

yeah. owning the cars you have. you know the importance of doing it right the first (only) time. dont know much about topspeed but do know ams is very good at what they do and have currently both drag and track cars in their stable. much like buschur also in due respect

exactly! I would rather pay once and have it done right. $1500 enclosed transport to/from Chicago! That is what is killing me. Plus if anything happens I want some sort of local support. You would think that Atlanta would have some good tuners but it looks like nobody is good as AMS.

jester tuning and ttp-engineering are in florida, which would be closer to you. Or turbotrix in NJ.
