If you want a keeper at least 3 years, buy a IX MR, don't risk it on the EVO X. Indeed is sharing chasis and platform with the Caliber, not that the Caliber won't be good, just new generation of cars, tons and tons of bugs to fix.

If you have friends work with the Big Three car manufacturer in Michigan, they always advise not to buy the first new generation car. There are so many stuff due to production dateline get over seen.

The finale of the 4G63 on the IX is almost near perfection with the MIVEC. Just got a base flash from AMS last week, the best $180 you can spend, just AMAZING.

don't buy first generation

I am in total agreement of not buying a first generation car. The one and only time I did that was in December of 1983 when I picked up a new Corvette. Had it for five years, while it was fun and most of the failures were covered by warranty it was an interesting shake-out cruise.
