Availability of the IXs in 2008?
Hey Guys, new here. I am a current 300zx n/a owner looking to move to something a lot faster. By something a lot faster, I mean an EVO. There is one problem for me though. I wont be able to get one until about January of 2008. I know the X's are coming out(which I do not like at all). I will be looking at IX's, but would there be any available at the dealerships early next year????
I'm sure when X comes out (which is 2008) there will be a lot of trade ins, VIII and IX for sure. And in decent condition too. So no worry....
P.S. I used to have Z32 N/A too, loved the car spent every penny on it, but Evo rocks.

if u want a new IX ur best bet is buy ASAP cuz there wont be an '07 . Its a transition year and the factory is gettin retooled for the X. I'm pretty sure the IX is only gonna be made for '06. And as far as a used goes i expect IX values to stay relatively high seeing as the X is not gonna be a drivers car, alot of electronically controlled BS. That and the end of the 4G63.

The problem is getting a used Evo. We all have evos and we know we dont drive them lightly. I ragged the **** out of my evo 8 but my Evo 9 now i dont push to hard, but id be scared getting a used evo, People mod them than unmod them to sell, and who knows if it was broken in correctly, you take alot of risks buying a used evo. Plus the evo isnt the best looking car, its all about its performance, so who gives a crap what the evo X looks like, its in no way bad looking jsut different, but its got a new engine new awd system, you know its gonna be faster and handle better, if you care about looks more than performance you shouldnt even buy an evo. just my opinon but good luck
well im a bit skeptical bout the new engine and awd system. from what i have pieced 2gether from the limited info i've gotten, the X platform is gonna be based on a turbo all wheel drive hatch. the only thing i can think of is the dodge caliber. everyone knows that the caliber is gonna be the new srt-4 and there are rumors about it bein awd. Its very reasonable to me to assume that this maybe the new X platform. So u mite basically be driving a more expensive caliber. I think this is a major possiblity, especially seeing that this could be the return of the DSM. So newer doenst nessecarily mean better. Even if it is "faster" there mite be those that want to overlook the X simply cuz of the lack of the 4G63 and the addition of BS like paddle shifters ( at least IMO).
