Newbie question about Jestr/ECUFlash

I'm considering a Jestr M1 flash on my IX... I've never used ECUFlash or had any experience with it....

My question is, I'm assuming I can backup my stock flash so that I may return ECU to stock in the event that something blows up and I need to take it in for warranty?

Also, does anyone know if Jestr can add a "valet" program that would essentially rev limit to 3000 ? Thanks!

Best bet is to ask JEstr directly. You can send him a pm (userID: JEstrTuning) or email at jestr@jestrtuning.com.

you save your stock map to your computer when you email it to jestr, so it's on your computer if you need it. i don't think a valet program could be programmed in there because the only way you could switch flashes is to re-flash the ecu with your laptop. btw, he's on aim all the time if you want to speak to him.

Sounds like you want a Cobb Access port.

Why? You can do all of that very easy with ecuflash and cable.

Sure if you have a laptop and know how to use it. I could teach a two year old how to use an access port, and the maps are preloaded, not mention its a handheld versus a big freakin laptop.
