Is it that bad?

 

Its kind of a boat, there is no EMS so tuning is kinda crappy. Not tooo much aftermarket support, but an aquaitance of mine ran a 13.9 just intake and exhaust with 1.9 60'. They have a turbo equivalent to the seize of a tweeter.

 

but if your looking for something more luxury then that would be a good choice.

nicer interior, nice stereo, comfortable ride... its super reliable... its the better daily driver, but the evo is the better race car/daily driver

 

I've heard it talked about numerous times on here. Most people hate on them cause they're ugly as sin.

i test drove one and loved it as a non high performance sedan. I really expected it to be a whole lot faster after all the hype about it. It handled good,rode good, was tight and quiet but no performance as far as 0-60,1/4 mile etc. If i were looking for just a good all around AWD more luxery type car i definetely would have bought it for the 30k the dealer wanted.That was loaded with everything except the nav. which i didnt want anyway.

The reason I posted this was that I see new 06 here in Texas for $20k and may be a good choice for those on a budget.

Right. It's our only direct competitor. The MS6 is a fine machine, but it's a different kind of animal. It may seem competitive on paper and that's about it.
