Stupid question

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SAVE-...QQcmdZViewItem

I was wondering if this thing really saves you gas. Or any other product from ebay that will give like 15 hp increase(like chip)

really stupid question but if it gives me even 1 extra mile per gallon, I'm getting it.

Ive heard of these "swirl generators" for quite a few years now. I tried somthing similar when I was racing jetskiis on some Mikuni Super BN42's that were taper bored to try and pick up some rpms. Our conclusion was they didnt offer much improvement. But what we were scared of was: how much vibration, and heat cycles could these things take before somthing cracks, and is sucked into my engine?
Bottom line?
You can buy alot of gas for what it would cost you to repair your mill, if the thing breaks!

If you're looking for a economy car, the Evo aint it.

I wouldn't want that thing anywhere near my car. I wouldn't trust it, especially if it's gonna be messing with the ecu. If you are really that worried about saving 1 mpg maybe you shouldn't have bought an evo. Maybe buy a Honda Fit.

Dave Colman says "The Tornado doesn't work." That's good enough for me.

I read 19 city - 24 highway on my sheet but I think I'm getting only around 10-12 mpg. I think its my driving(new at manual) I keep my rpm around 2k to start moving so i dont stall. But have it on neutral on hills and lights.
only drove 170 miles and my full tank is now only 1 bar away from empty(1/4)
I thought I could go more than 300miles with one tank but guess not.

Don't get it, stay away from eBay products for our cars in general (yes, I know there are exceptions). You paid how much for the car and want to nickel and dime it now? Treat your baby to the good stuff, and drive it like it was meant to be driven.

Given the above, the Evo seems like an odd choice of car for you.
