I currently own an '03 TB EVO.

Fact: Marring (swirls) shows worse on black than any other color.

Fact: Mitsu paint (at least in '03) is not the easiest paint/clear to keep "perfect".

Unless the paint quality has improved with the TB, I would stray away and stick with the GG.

If you don't mind swirl marks on your car, go with black.

Asking for people's opinions is totally ok on here, thats what this forum is made for... Some people have nothing better to do than to post useless messages, just disregard those. Obviously they have deep seated issues that they are having trouble with so they have to come here and vent it out...

Anyways, I just picked up my 06 SE from South Coast Mitsu... $29,600.00

I just had the hardest time deciding between the GG and TB. I was about to go with the GG but I just sold my 05 IS which was GG, and before that I had an 03 NSX which was Silverstone.. I just decided to go with the Black instead, I am pretty happy with my choice, even though I am sure it will be a real PITA to keep clean like others say. I havent had a black car for 10 years now! I usually go with Grey, White, or Blue.. But I guess change is good...

I currently have a TB Evo IX SE. I love it plus the stitching on the seats bring it all together. I certainly have my concerns because the black is a pain to keep clean. But its a labor of love and why would you complain about getting to spend more time with your car? The black looks amazing when its clean so the effort is well worth it. However, Mitsu paint is pathetic and whatever paint color you choose, you're still gonna get chips in the paint. I would imagine that GG would hide those a bit better. But then again thats what clear coats are for. Good luck deciding. Either way you can't go wrong.
