Hey everyone. Just bought my first EVO two weeks ago, a 2005 SSL silver with 8k miles. Came from Vegas. Stock except for Greddy turbo timer. Loving the car although it's spending time as a garage queen right now. I'm going to continue racking up miles on my old Saab through the winter. Come March/April I'll sell it and switch to the EVO for my DD. Looking forward to some easy mods like exhaust, wheels and such. Will be visiting forums for ideas and advice.

just wondering, why did you go all the way to vegas to purchase your evo? Did u fly, drive, or have it shipped?

 

I wanted silver SSL with as low mileage as possible for my target price. Guy I bought it from needed to sell. I found it on ebay. When bidding was over/no sale, I contacted him with offer and he accepted. Two work buddies of mine flew out (I gave them my ff tix), executed the sale and drove it home for me. I've been looking for quite a while and this one seemed like the best deal for me. That's my story...

NICE!!! I too was originally looking for an 05 with SSL and low mileage. I got the low mileage (less than 7k), but no SSL....

Oh ya, mine's a 05 Apex Silver SSL too

 

Just bought an AS SSL from Sneakychaos with 20k miles on it. A little more miles than I wanted but with the shape of the car it was worth every penny. The best thing is that I just had to drive from Deleware to NJ as opposed to across the entire country. LOL. Good luck with it, looks great!
