ohh crap, I thought he ment starting like going forward LMAO HAHAHAHA.

Ther is a wire you just cut it. its on connector C-129 and its blue with an orange stripe. C-129 is in the driver side kick pannel. After you cut that wire the car will start without pushing in the cllutch. LOL i am going to edit those last 2 posts now. Sorry about that. HAving an off day.

What the hell are all these responses?

OP, all you do is disconnect the white switch near the bottom of the clutch pedal. It's very simple - I did it right away on my 05. I start my car all the time when I'm not in the driver's seat, and I don't like having to push the clutch each the time just to start the car even when seated. You just have to get used to not leaving the car in gear.

4-wheel-slide, she doesn't actually WEAR those harnesses without a helmet while the car is moving, right?

Exactly. I did this the day I picked up my evo. Just use to having it in all my DSM's.

Side note, this does not work on Scions TC's

yep, its like a mile drive to school. she just likes riding in the car to put them on.

and she knows better than to touch the stick. she's known how to drive for a while now. she's had a go cart since she was 5, she just got a shifter cart few months ago. pretty sweet

cheers!

depressing the clutch switch actually breaks the circuit, it doesn't throw a ground. theres no need to jump or cut any wires, just disconnect the switch and leave it as is.

i've heard that the US is one of the few countries that actually requires the clutch to be depressed to start.

You're right. I read it off the wiring diagram and got it backwards. The switch is normally closed.
