fuel pump needed for TBE/FLASH?

i didnt upgrade mine til meth and it was fine....

safe a/f 11.82 on 110 mix and 12.3 on 93

Because that's not how it is. It can fail over time or get overheated then fail. Just because you went fast without upgrading it, that doesn't mean it couldn't fail at a later point in time. We don't recommend upgrading the fuel pump just for pure flow reasons - the stockers have been known to randomly fail and cause an immediate lean condition and spun rod bearings.

On the VIII I have seen issues. Is this a problem on the IX too?

that also happens to a stock car... **** happens...

No, people aren't overheating their stock fuel pump when the car is stock. You can refuse to listen - I don't really care.

JTB - I could not give you an example on a IX yet, but many have upgraded it when modding, too, so it's hard to say.

Do the pump, for 100 and 20mins of work, it might save your car.

Nothing like wishing you had putt on a bullet proof vest after your shot.
