Question Some Qustion Befor Buying An EVO.....

hay guys i'll buy an evo(either) an Evo VI or Evo VII Or Evo VIII....

i've found a 2000 Evo VI for ~11k$ and a Evo VII for ~ 17k and a Evo VIII for ~ 20+k$ and a brand new evo IX for ~34K$...

so my qustion is the folowing:

is theEvo VI came in LHD or only RHD? and is the evo vi has the same engine(4g63) and the same tranny as the evo vii-viii?
and can i modd an evo VI -VII with sport parts that desigend for an evo viii?

and if i upgrade with (intake-exhuast-dp-fmic-clutch) what is may Awhp will be?

i've searchd an NOTHING that related to this matter came or i didn't search right?

thanks and please DON'T flame me....iknow that i'm a n00b but all of us were n00by's some time ago....

Where are you located?

Anything prior to the VIII is usually found in the UK/JP/Eur markets only.

Prices vary considerably.

I'm a noob myself but I've been on this forum non-stop since I've gotten my new IX and it seems the generaly feel is that you get better power gains on the IX than the VIII with similar mods...also the IX comes with parts that can handle higher power before needing to be swapped out...DV and FP are examples of things I've heard.

Also what model IX are you looking at for that price? MR? SE?..heard of some problems with the MR transmission..but then again i'm a noob myself

if you do not planning more mods, i would say IX.
if you go all away up... then VI. reason is = light , and cheap.
so for the money you will spend on the IX ,you going to make a monster from the VI. skipp the VII- VIII.

also is almost the same engine... little diff between VI and VII and more in the VI-IX or VII -IX. Tranny is different.

its not the most comfortable but you won't care cuz its so fun to drive. 350-400 is a bit more than a little mod. What are you looking at for mods? Its definately doable without breaking the bank though.

If I were you I would stay away from the old models under the VIII.. I mean you can't go wrong getting a IX. It's a little quicker then the VIII, thanks to it's lighter turbo and MIVEC. Also something to consider... If you want to buy parts for the IX, you can just go about anywhere to find it... From a body kit to good coilovers to any little tid bit you can think of.. Another thing to consider, a IX shows a little more gain with basic mods then past models and in all seriousness... I think it looks better too... but hey that IMO
