Royal Purple is probably the better oil. I use the factory fill Mobil 1 10w 30 untill I build a new engine then Ill switch to a exotic motor oil

Now also I hear that the Mobile filter you should use is m1-110 <--- I think that is the correct number, or m1-108. the dealer is about 1hour away so driving to get the filter is a waste of gas when auto zone is 5 min away.

The mobil filter will work fine untill you bring it in for warranty work

Only filter I would stay away from is the regular Orange Fram. I use and also I have used the FRAM X2 on every car I have ever owned. It has about the best filtering properties on the market. Plus I get them free

It doesn't matter!!!!!!!!! Throw in synthetic and change the filter regularly and you are fine.

Mobil 1 is a good oil, and there isn't much advantage to switching. So I guess it just comes down to pref.

You havent heard of anyone talking about Royal Purple? Did you even bother searching.. There's a lot of Royal Purple fan boys on EvoM.. Tons of threads about oil for that matter.. Even quite a few VERY recently..

But yeah, get a good synthetic and change it at regular intervals. Unless you have a high horsepower, built motor, it's not as important.
