just how the oil comes out at the oil change... see if Royal Purple holds up like Mobil 1 does or better.

You'd be surprise. Here's a link to one recent thread.

I use OEM because I can get one for less then $5 and I really see no difference between the mitsu one and k&n/fram... except mitsu doesn't have a grip or nut.

Im using royal purple, but I change the filter every 1500-2200 miles and just refill the lossed oil then change the oil out on the third filter change. I have done this on the last few cars and bikes I owned and the oil NEVER gets dirty at all. It still stays purple even after 5-6k miles.

As long as the oil is full synthetic and a brand I know and trust there is no difference. I've been mobil 1 since I got the car but a while back advance autoparts was selling penzoil platinum synthetic buy one get one free. I've been using it for about 2000 miles and notice no difference. Even mobil 1 is switching from a group 4 to a group 3 oil which is the same as pennzoil platinum and castrol syntec. Group 3 oils are not fully synthetic but highly refined conventional oil.So really there is no difference. I believe royal purple and Amsoil is still using group 4 full synthetic oils.
