Unhappy Nasty fuel cut

today while i was on the freeway i was cruising at 55 mph and i decided to pass an 18 wheeler so i down shifted to 3rd and floored it.. every thing was going fine until 5500 rpm. i am guessin i hit the fuel cut (spikes at 1.5kg's on MR guage on 1.4 kg's to redline) so i let off and floored it again. same thing. So i continued running my errands and ended up hopping back on the freeway. tried it one last time but nothing happend it was fine up to redline.. tried it a couple more times just be sure and the same out come. fine.
so what has me stumped is why did it hit fuel cut earlier??
am i in need of a tune????
some feed back would be nice.

He asked if he was in need of a tune. So why would you ask if he,s tuned?

It never stops amazing me that people will know what fuel cut is and then ask if they need a tune,

Not sure if you need a "tune" but you definately need to delete that boost cut.

yes you need a tune. That will eliminate the boost cut and will get your AFRs and timing in line for the parts and amount of boost you are running. The factory tune does not like seeing that kind of boost in the upper rpms.
