Hello All! New Evo Owner

Though I should stop by here first and say hello.

Just picked up a new Graphite Grey Evo IX a couple days ago and so far it has been a great experience.

I've been a die hard Chevy owner for a while now so this is my first experience with an imported car. Hopefully this one doesn't let me down. I hope warantee issues aren't as bad as some make them out to be on this board.

Anyway, have a good one everyone and drive it like you stole it.

Welcome

Your warranty goes out the door as soon as you drive it off the lot!

Don't "drive it like you stole it" and you won't need to worry about that warantee...

+1...after your break-in period, of course.

The warranty issues vary by dealership, but just know that it may be an issue. I have one of the first 50 Evo's brought to the US in 2003 and have yet to have any problem with mine...and I've been modded almost since the beginning. Take care of her and she'll take care of you.

Congrats and welcome to the fam.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

This car won't be modded for a LONG time. Its fast/quick enough for me now and I bought it more for the practicality than for racing. Plus I miss driving the Camaro on the street so I wanted something to have a little fun with.

I think I got the mod bug out of my system with the Camaro. That damn car has so many damn mods now there are very few original parts left on the car. Hell, I'm still spending money on that car to this day.

Rather than start a new thread I have a couple questions if no one minds. I tried to search about 20 different combinatios of words and didn't get any useable info.

What do these cars do in the 1/4 mile completely stock (realistically), and what kind of power do they put to the wheels on average stock?

Thanks

Welcome to the site, I came from a Procharged LS1 Camaro to a Evo and im loving every minute of the Evo.

As far as 1/4 mile they can run mid to low 13's depending on the driver and a few have hit 12.9's stock. To the wheel it is around 230. Any other questions let me know, specially cause we both switched from Fbodys to Sedans lol.
