Question where can i get compression check

And can someone tell me what is the good compression rate for evo8 ????

Buy a compression tester on PepBoys, Autozone, etc. It is about $20!

The most important thing is the consistency between cylinder readings. BTW, you need to test them with the throtle open.

So if you get... 130, 129, 131 and 130...... you are good to go.

But, if you get.... 130, 119, 129 and 131... then something is wrong in the second reading!

Also, I am pretty sure that any reputable shop should have the tester available. I just prefer to do it myself.

A compression test is a rather simple procedure and if you've never done it before, it can become a learning experience. Good Luck

I bought a damn tester but since the spark plug hole was so deep i couldn tighten it...
