There are plenty of parts of the IX. It generates a little bit more power stock, and I like the front end of the IX SE plus the BBS wheel. I like to do my own mods so I would pick the IX SE if it was me. I don't normally trust over folks' heavily mod cars because you never know where the car has been.... JHMO.

IMO i would rather get the IX se only because it is alot newer and hasn't been modded yet.
I wouldn't fully trust the modded car unless i knew the COMPLETE history behind the car.

Definitely agree with these guys, but it really depends. If you know the history of the mods, and who did them, then you're golden.

As far as my opinion. Get IX cause it's new. Even though it's 7K, those miles were put on hard. Modded and 7K - that sounds like a track beast. Be careful.

But if I knew everything about the car I would go modded vs stock. Simply because you get all the parts for the same price. Milege is about the same, so no big deal. Don't listen to "moving up" crap, both cars are great. If you don't like the route the person before you went - sell those parts and buy the ones you like.
But that's only if you know about the car, if it's some random car listed and you know nothing about it - stay away.

Good luck

I came from an o2 eclipse gt myself...my vote says the IX.

If you did all your mods on your eclipse..you'll more than likely be happier to do the same with the Evo. IX's are very mod friendly...in ref. to power gains on the stock turbo.

Unless that VIII has a $4000 turbo kit on it or some other very expensive mods, and you are 100% sure about the condition of the motor and driveline, the price is too high. I'd get the new IX SE, no question.
