Stock Air/Fuel and aftermarket

Will getting a full TBE or air intake (w upper and lower pipes) affect the stock air/fuel ratios negatively if everything else is let stock? Is some sort of computer re-adjustments needed?

Perhaps it makes more sense if I quote this... "Poorly designed intakes can lead to "lean" run conditions resulting in detonation and engine damage."

car runs big rich...a tbe won't hurt anything...you might boost a psi or two higher because of less restriction but it doesn't change your air/fuel..however to see real gains you need to be tuned for it

an intake will definitely affect your a/f ratio in a negative way...and open element filter will scramble your maf sensor readings (not good) and intakes are good for nothing unless tuned

those mods with a tune is fine but the stock intake can handle up to 400whp or so

Skip the air intake, get the TBE and.....GET A FLASH, you will pick up HUGE power with the flash and be very happy, on top of knowing that your car is dialed in correctly.

you will be fine...get a cel fix

don't waste your money for a vishnu...best deal for something nice/light/cheap is the buschur bullet tbe

I have a combo...megan racing dp and tp with a turboxs catback

I like it but I like the buschur because it is lighter and the tip is more stock looking with the recessed muffler

There was a great deal on a used Vishnu Sig exhaust just a bit ago

You might consider a used XEDE. They seem to be selling very cheaply these days and you could then just download a map to fit your mods as you get more bits and pieces.

Edit* Also from what I understand you really need a tune to take advantage of an exhaust on a IX.
