Money shifted
I did that couple times with my Z. I've been driving stick for over 7 years now, had 7 cars.
My Z had a messed up tranny - it was fine but you could shift into 1st instead of 3rd
I shifted from 2nd to 1st once on 1/4. I thought I was going to crash, that thing just strated flying all over the 1/4. Again not my fault. I was afraid of breaking something, but it was fine, drove it for another year and sold it. I know the new owner and tranny is still running strong (it was around 60K on tranny). I also shifted into 1st while going 60 mph( that's why I'm saying it was messed up or somethig cause normally you can't even downshift into 2nd). My friend told me that it looked like I hit the wall...... I'm pretty sure that it didn't hurt the car, since it's a first time, but 4 seconds sounds way too long. Do a compression test just to be sure
