Exhaust Question

Was just curious if i buy a catback exhaust for my 06 OZ will that make the car illegal thus voiding my warranty? I talked to the dealership i bought my car from and they said a new exhaust is fine but i was in a hurry and didnt think to ask about catback not just the tip. so figured id come here and see if anyone knows for sure one way or another thanks

first thing you need to do is search. there are tonnes of old threads on this stuff

the only thing a cat back will void on your warranty....is the cat back. It doesn't effect anything else so it won't do anything to the warranty. The only time a warranty can be void because of an aftermarket part, is if that part is what is causing the problem.

True, it doesn't affect the warranty, but the dealership won't fix any part of your new catback that messes up (obviously). Same goes with anything (except for big stuff like internals and turbo)

lol good call. But yeah, if it is something visible, just make sure whatever you put on isn't going to cause any problems and do it right and you won't have to worry about anything.
