Hks ssqv Problem

My buddy was running the hks ssqv with stock intake box and we just installed the HKS RS intake on his car, i had it on my car with the stock bov no problems...yes i know they intake is known to make a lot of noise but the noise its making isn't normal, it seems like the bov isnt fully venting like normal and its making a weird noise pre ventalation....is there any vac hoses that need to be routed differently due to this intake bring installed? thanks guys appreciate it.

the BOV is bad, ! get rid of it. it will cause lots of problems in a evo

Intake + Bov .. ehh .. not a good way to be hounest to lose some HP in a evo

i have the hks bov and i love it and no problems. people with 03-04 evo's seem to have the most problems with intakes and vta bov's

ssqv

I have it and love it.

anyone who drives an evo with a bov will first notice how cool the bov sound is.

AND YES, we only install it for the sound so the elitists should get over that fact asap

Most evos in the shop I go to, including the shop cars have the ssqv+hks intake combo. I heard of no problems because of it.....

another hks ssqv thread...hummm

it holds boost well but there is no need for it unless you are boosting over 25 psi when the stocker becomes inefficient

get a sound clip or video clip w/sound so we can hear this noise

I has the rs intake and it's loud as hell with the stocker

bro, there's never a need for the sweet sound it makes.... but it's all we bov users want from it.

You may be faster by a few hps but we are certainly happier and have more fun with our evos
