RoadRaceEngineering in Sante Fe Springs has been the SoCal DSM/Evo tuning and modifications mecca for almost 20 years. You can't go wrong with using them. As far as tuning the AEM, Scot Grey (who you can reach through RRE as well) is the master. Call and ask for Mike (the owner) or Ty and they'll give you the straight about what you need and how much it will cost. You won't have to do the work twice because someone screwed it up, like you might at some other facilities.
Road Race Engineering for the mother f-u-c-k-i-n-g win. $3900 installed and you will have a supercar killer.

standalone
but with these kits i need to pay about 2k for a standalone system right?
The plus with vishnus kit is it can be flashed propably with tuningtechnologies or Shiv himself and run good numbers.
rraulston
thats a great package but it needs the standalone with it too, right?

50 trim is your best bet

Look, since you seem to be into the Vishnu product, and if you live in SoCal, then go with Tuning Technologies, in Colton, CA. Alfred is one of the premier XEDE tuners in the country. They can install whichever turbo kit that you may choose and then dynotune it in their shop, either with the XEDE piggyback, or via ECU flashing.
If you go with the 880cc injectors, you just need to have your ECU rescaled, independently of whether you use a piggyback such as XEDE or decide to go with an ECU flash. Call Tuning Technologies if you decide to go with the XEDE or have them flash tune your ECU. As, mentioned by someone else, RRE in Santa Fe Springs, is the other good option, although they don't do XEDE tuning and market their own line of turbokits using the HAFFE cast stainless manifold.
I have a buddy who has a Vishnu turbo kit with the 3071 turbo. His came with a tubular header which is a true POS and is constantly warping the flanges and cracking welds. If I were to get a Vishnu kit I would get the one that adapts to the stock exhaust manifold via a cast collar.
Your choice of turbo depends on your particular application and whether or not you will be running race gas. If race gas, then go with a 50-Trim or 3076(?) turbo and you'll be over 500WHP on Race Gas. If straight pumpgas, then some people recommend the 50-Trim or the 3071. I personally, don't like the 3071, because, for one reason, a bolt-on, 20G-LT will get you within spitting distance of the 3071 on pumpgas.
If you are dead set on a full turbo kit then look into the AMS 50-Trim or the 3076 kits on the market. Although some people feel that if you're gonna live with the lag of the 3076, you might as well get a 35R. I personally concur with someone else in this thread...if I were to do a kit then I would probably go with the Buscur 3065, which is a hybrid turbo configured with a 35R compressor wheel and a 30R turbine, and good enough for 130 mph trap speeds.
Are you gonna be running straight pump gas or pump plus meth, or race gas? Will you be taking it to the strip or using it as a DD?

Ha ha, a guy living in SoCal asking where he can get his car worked on.
I'll put in another vote for RRE. I've never had any work done on my cars by them, but I have bought parts. They are very knowledgable and have been a source for DSM and now Evo tuning for many years.
I'm thinking of going with a GT30R as well. Everyone loves going big with 35+, but one ride in a 30R equipped Evo made me believe its the best setup for a fun and liveable street car.
