What Gauages To Get?

i just ordered the center dash gauge pod and now trying to decide what my third gauge should be. i am currently thinking about boost (psi) and oil temp (F) but i dont know what my third should be. these gauges are going to be the Defi BF amber red 60mm.

water temp
oil pressure
fuel pressure
EGT

Oil pressure is the most important out of your choices, you never want to see that drop like a stone.

I would agree Oil Pressure is a Must have. Youo didn't mention what Range your Boost guage will have. Are you going 30-30 or higher? And why are you going with 60mm guages, aren't thopse gonna be a bit too large? to each his own I guess..

^ As stated above why are you adding a water temp gauge, when you have a accurate one in the cluster already? Seems like overkill.

I have boost oil pressure and oil temp. Good choice on the gauges you won't be disappointed.

I have the Defis that you plan to buy in the Gruupe-S ABS panel. EGT, boost, and oil pressure. So you know where I stand...

i never really thought about oil pressure gauge. i was leaning towards the water temp than anything. my car will mostly be daily driven with light autocross, so i wont be hitting it hard that much. how hard/easy was it to install the oil pressure gauge?

TURBevO8 - do you have any pics?
Street Tuners - 60mm are too big? the defi bf gauge only comes in 60mm.

Piece of cake though I'd recommend doing while doing an oil change.

The reason is you'll be taking off a cap alot the oil filter housing and likely will spill oil. Its just easier to do an oil change and keep the oil drained when doing this.

The plugs around the housing are of 8mm alan wrench size, get the right alan wrench becuase they use locktite on them and its not that hard to strip one of these out. See the how to section on installs for detailed material

Well it really depends. If your car just have the basic bolt on and just want another gauge to filled the missing spot then get whateva. But i think you hould get the oil temp as your third. A/f gauge doesnt really need, you should be getting a digital a/f by AEM or Zentronix or something if your going for the a/f ratio gauage. Gl on choice.

I guess it would depend on what you will be doing. I tune my own car so I would get boost, a/f, and egt.

If your just looking for safety then get boost, oil pressure, and a/f.
