93 octane safe on stock?

where i live i cant seem to find any 91 octane fuel. So i always put in 93 octane. i read that 93octane is for a little higher performance. is there no difference if my car is all stock? or am i actually hurting it a little by puting in a little higher octane fuel? its a little weird that our fuel goes 89octane in mid class and shoots up to 93 on on premium.

You're a very lucky guy to get 93 anytime you want it. It's just right for the EVO and I don't think it will hurt it.

Use the search button also for more information in regards to your question.

Be safe and have fun.

I agree. All we have around here is 91. There is VP Racing 100 ocatane, but its like 4.50-gallon. Run the 93 and stop being concerned with it. All it means is your car will love you for it!

the higher octane gas you put in it, the less knock-prone(detonation)it will be, and the better it will run and the more power it will make. you only have to worry about putting lower octane fuel in your car, that will make it run crappy and possibly cause damage.

Come on man thats not cool, this is the newbie forum so these questions ( how crazy they might be) are supposed to go here.

93 octane is a better grade of gas then 91 aka ****-tane, don't second think the 93 and pump away

wow. what a bunch of ****** you are. the guy loves his car enough to ask a question like that before possibly taking the chance to damage it. you *******s should be ashamed of yourselves... you really should.

dude next time pm someone if you dont know something that seems "simple" because theres all these "evo experts" who know everything and wont share their knowledge without the input of sarcasm and insults. bunch of twits
