Shopping for an Evo! :)

Hey guys, this is my first post here so obviously i'm new. Anyways, i'm shopping for an Evo as a kind of early college graduation present to myself. I was just wondering if there's anything specific you guys could tell me to look out for? I've searched a bit and so far all i can find is the 0300 random misfire problem which would hopefully already have been fixed by the previous owner.

By the way, i'm looking for an Evo 8 non MR with under 50,000 miles, any color but black. (sick of cleaning my black car now... haha)

So, thanks in advance for the help. You'll probably be seein me around a lot once i get the car.

-Chris

Just make sure you check throughly with any used car, especially an Evo...which I would really not get used(not trying to discourage you but)

I'll be buying from a dealership hopefully with a warranty still. Also, IF i buy it from an individual then i'll make sure i get it meticulously inspected.

So, anything specific i should watch out for?

jsut go severly into detail when finding the car was never modded. From what i've seen, its such a common problem when buying a used evo... they modded it, used and abused it, got tired of it and wanted soemthing else.. so it was traded in. I was back and forth on my car for days to make sure it wasnt modded.. and paid a crap load more a month to make sure i got this bullet proof warranty.

that's pretty much the only thing i think u should look for. im sure your well aware of all that but its just a reminder haha
