check engine light....

I tried searching for an answer but cant find it....This morning when i drove my car....check engine light was on untill now. What should i need to check??? (everything is bone stock!) I called mitsu service they said it might be the gas cap...i already check it...help please....

calm down...... go to autozone or something and see if they can pull it up.. but i wouldnt worry bout it sense it is off....

AutoZone provides free CE light Check. They will tell you the code, BUT if you all stock, take it to the dealer. Thats what i would do, let them worry.

Having the check engine light on means nothing to us because it could be one or more of hundreds of codes causing it to come on. Autozone lets you use the scanner for free so you can see why the check engine came on.

i just went to autozone.... P0300 Random/ multiple cylinder misfire what does this mean? help please....

it could be a bunch of things, plugs/wires/coil packs/egr.. no offense but it sounds like you don't know what to look for and since you are bone stock just take it to the dealer...

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm they haven't solved the P0300 code yet?

Good luck with that. I don't think anyone knows why some Evos throw this code and some don't...maybe there is a TSB about it by now...

Oh and make sure you are REALLY stock if you take it to the dealer...because if you roll in with an aftermarket air freshener or heaven forbid aftermarket floormats, they'll say it's your fault and take away your warranty...
