Chassis plate help

searched the forums and couldn't find anything to help, but I have a quick question about the chassis plate: does every evo have the same specifications on this plate, is it removable and is it replaceble? lets just say that mine took a bullet to the chest from a dumbass alarm installer. he's lucky he didn't get laid with a bullet himself, he just got too trigger happy with a drill

this is exactly what I said to the guy,
wtf!! when in hell did this car every look like a ****ing honda to you!!

I'd go to the DMV and ask who inspects imported vehicles. Then go to the inspector and have the plate examined. If it needs to be replaced they should have some idea of the process.

You have to order that thru Mitsubishi and them only. The things is, you have to find a dealer that knows where the order form is and that knows the exact information needed inorder to order it. And not all of the information on that plate is the same on all Evo's. That is a "build plate" It states all the information needed to have built your car, (accessories from fact. color, trim level, etc)

ok that is a Very improtant plate, its rivited on. and Falsely replacing or changing or otherwise altering of defacing it to make the information appear different is a federal offense, Jail time and/or fine. It would be hard to replace/remove and keep it looking factory. I would imagine all evos would have the same specs on it, for certain Evos of the same year and trim would.

Whoever the moron is that drilled a hole in that for you needs to be dealt with. Did you complain to the place you were having the alarm installed? This is a pretty big deal if any of that information is distorted/missing in any way. Why did he pick that one area to drill a hole in??? It makes no sense. I'd watch where I take my car if I were you. This is yet another reason NO ONE touches my car.

yeah the guy was fired from the job, and I made a report with the companies insurance on diminshed value along with repairs, now to go about replacing it is the problem, none of the information has been affected, but the plate itself has a fatty *** hole in the upper corner that pisses me off, so I'm thinking about taking it to the dealership to see what can be done, any better ideas?? or suggestions?

Is there a Carmax near you? Get it appraised there and ask them how much it depreciated the value.

If you get it fixed properly, the valve of the car has not diminshed. And to let everyone know, CARMAX lies! They do not give the true value of your cars! The use the information of what they sell car at from all of their stores in America and not what NADA nor Black Book values are. BE WARNED!

That is a plate that states all the information about that car, none of the other have the same one, so maybe you need to ask the dear, what to do next.
