I noticed a big drop in mpg (from about 270 miles to 240 miles on a full tank of gas) since I added some NGK BPR7EIX plugs. The car had some mods (tbe, drop-in filter, mail-in flash) and it was still getting 270 mpg before I replaced the oem plugs. My question is do I need a reflash for the plugs or simply a set of different plugs? Any advice will be greatly aprreciated.

 

have you check the gap of your new plugs, I believe they should be 0.044

 

Probably give it a tank or two to even back out. That happens to me as well after a plug change...

check the gap in the plug, also if u upgrade your plugs , the plug will burn and light the fuel quicker dropping your mpg

 

Man, that reminds me I should probably check my plugs and replace them soon. I know a lot of guys change the gap when they run larger turbo's but shouldn't most of us keep them at standard gap?
