Accuracy of aftermarket boost gauge

Installed the autometer boost gauge and after my flash its hitting 22-23 psi on 93 octane, im thinking it might be about a psi off, ive heard that you can get various readings depending on where you tap off for the gauge. I tapped into the usual spot by the BCS just wondering if anyone else is getting false readings.

You'll want to read boost at the intake manifold rather than before the throttle body. The easiest place to tap is the hose between the mani and the fpr. That's where the MR/RS mechanical boost gauge tap is located.

I have the autometer nexus boost gauge and from the Jestr told me it was reading perfectly...Maybe the cheap autometer gauges suck but I think Nexus is pretty good....

About a year or so ago....a buddy of mine purchased an VIII and one of the first things he bought was an Autometer Boost Gauge. We had some precision test equipment at work that measured pressure and it was off a little at the high end low ends...about a psi or so. Right around 20psi it was basically dead on though.

my boost gauge is about 3-4 psi off. it reads about 37-38 pounds but the AEM says 34.

I'm assuming the more boost you run, the more the gauge will be off.
