Just another NooB......Kinda!

Hey the name's Jamie. Heard about this site from my best friend who owns an Evo 8 MR. I currently own an '03 Jetta 1.8T. I basically joined up to learn more about the 4G63 and turbo-charging in general.

Ugh......If only the weekly pay would permit that! Actually the Jetta is my wifes car and ultimately I want a 2 Gen. Eclipse GSX.

Ya know, that's a great idea, I've thought about it several times. However I just can't seem to convinvce my wife to let me take on another car payment for a car that will sit most of the time. I have a 100 mile round trip drive to and from work, and I drive an old POS Honda for a commuter car. She doesn't think that the money that would be spent is justified by a car that wouldn't be driven that often. Go figure!

I know, I know.....like I said in the intro, my best friend has an '05 MR with a few mods. They are great cars undoubtedly. However even though I can afford it, it's just not gonna happen.

I think that before I just go out and "buy an Evo" I should think about if it's even what I want.

GSX's are the **** man, definitely worth the money if you can find them. If you do, jump on them quick. I lost out on 3 because I waited 4 hours to see the vehicle (had to wait to get out of work).

4G63 has been around forever and has proven to be a helluva engine. With the new technology mitsu has put into these engines, they're much more powerful right out of the box. EVO IX is d@mn sweet, just picked up an MR myself and it's awesome.

GSX should treat you right, though, the engines are bullet proof. Aftermarket is HUGE too, you should be able to easily get to EVO stock power without much trouble at all.

not all turbo's are AWD, what about the GS-T front drive turbo 4G63 DSM's?

Just found a '95 GSX for under $5K......I think I am going to check into it in the morning. Screw the milage! If I can get it, the price is right and I'll have plenty of money to start building it! Woo---Hoo!!!

First things first...The big goofy smiling front bumper HAS GOT TO GO!!!!!
