Depends on what you want. It's looking like the X will have better interior options and an easier ride for daily driving. The stock motor should make more power, and based on Edmunds test drive over a year ago of a test mule, the X will handle better. The X will be a safer car. X will most likely be more expensive. Looks are a personal preference.

i believe that the x's motor is going to be unbelievable...way better then the 4g63....even teh article is saying that they over engineered it and can handle way more psi on stock internals... as for the exterior

 

I would go for a Graphite Grey Evo 9 MR......I would not settle for anything less than an MR..
Dont forget the new X's motor is partly designed by Dodge

If you want a DD, then, judging from the interior of the 2008 Lancer, the X will be ****. If you want a car that you can turn into a serious racer (RR or 1320), then the IX is the better choice.

Wait for the X, if u dont like it, then u can search for a used IX.
