I was re-installing my transmission last night and I noticed that we bumped the lower control arm ball joint dust cover with something and it now has a hole in it. I need to replace it but the dealer I called said that it can only be replaced by buying a complete lower control arm assembly. I'm not convinced that this is entirely correct. I was wondering if anyone else has had to replace one of these, where the best place to order them from (dealer or online), and how much they cost. Thanks for any help.

same thing happened to mine when the clutch was installed. most dealers don't carry the part in stock, and we didn't want to wait for special order. the dealer did a search in their database and found one on the east coast. i think it was around 30 bux shipped next day.
