Breaking in 06 IX SE

Alright well i just traded my m3 in for a evo IX 06. I got it with 10 miles on it and was wondering about breaking the car in. What kinda of things should i do now and in the near future. The car currently has 380 miles. thank you

What kind of M3?

380 miles?? A bit late asking us about break-in procedures now... anyway, make sure the engine has warmed sufficiently before romping on it (best gauge to go by is oil, and not coolant), but don't let the car idle excessively. Also, try to keep RPM under 5k for the first 600 miles; you can go to 1000 for good measure. Vary your engine speed, and get into boost everyonce in awhile. Make sure you let the car cool down for a couple of minutes before shutting of the engine if you've driven hard. Change engine and drivetrain fluids at 1000-1200 miles. Pretty much common sense stuff, and similar to the break in procedures for M's...

I was told to wait till 1k miles before going past 5k RPM by my dealership. That's all they said about break in.

Wait a sec... are you the same Frayserboy over at M3F.c? Didn't you just get the M3?? You asked us how to make your car lighter if I recall.

Manual states less (600), but going to 1000 won't hurt.

Do you have pics of your m3 and evo?

Why did you trade? I remember you were asking about software for the M3.. and then you just got CF grills?
