Warranty on brand new tire

I have a brand new Evo IX that has about 1400 miles on it. Today I blew out a tire from a nail. Do you think Mitsubishi will cover this? I doubt it myself but wouldn't hurt to ask.

You blew it out on a nail, use some common sense, is it mitsubishi's fault that your drove over a nail?

we cant get them to warranty **** they are suppose to, and you are trying to get them to warranty regular wear and tear items like tires ? i suppose next you will want them to replace wiper blades, air filters and new car scent

Your screwed!!! Your gonna have to cough up $350 or so to get a new one. Mitsubishi will not warranty tires for any type of nail, screw, or whatever. The only way they will warranty it is if the tread comes off the tire. IE anything the is a manufacture defect. You running over a nail is not a manufacture defect.

good luck with that, they won't even warranty what they are supposed to cover.

(Insert sarcasm) Hi Mr. Mitsu Service tech. I ran over a nail and blew out my YOKOHAMA tire, can you warranty this? And even on the extremely rare case they would... no wait they would not even concider it because its not their product, ITS A YOKOHAMA TIRE!!! I can't believe you asked this... If I were you I'd put my flame suit on real quick

first of all make sure its on the side and not the tread of the tire. because it can be fixed. and second of all since I order parts from Mitsubishi and Subaru, they will not honor the warranty for the tire. Now what you can do is when you buy new ones, most places will give you a road hazard protection, you can buy that and if something happens, they will reimburse you.

You are better off just to call Yokohama customer service directly. Tell them exactly what happened, and see if they can offer a discount on a replacement tire. Their number should be on the brochure in your glove box

If you go to the dealer, they will automatically void your warranty for driving over a nail.
