Is that normal or not?
sup guys,
i have had my evo 9 for about a month now and iam still breaking it in. when i had about 250 miles on it i went about 40% on the throttle at 3000 RPM and that car pulled really hard to 4000 RPM then i let go because its not broken in yet, so i took her out tonight and i have about 450 miles and i did the same thing over and the car didnt pull as hard as before for some reason. i dont know if i just got use to the power or someting is wrong.
has anyone felt that before? is that normal?
sorry for the stupid Q i just like to have peace of mind
thank alot.

With a NA car how it pulls it determined by the gear selected and how far the throttle plate is open. With a turbo car the above is true plus what you were doing right before the pull. In other words, is the turbo spun up or stalled.

Why's that? In the owner's manual it says keep it <5k rpms for the first 600 miles. I've also read that it's good to boost it hard but staying below the 5k during break in, although I know there are all different preferences on break-ins
To the OP, how the hell have you had the car for almost a month and not broken it in yet. I couldn't wait to break mine in, took less than a week. I would just go for drives just to get the miles up, lol
