clutch problem?
clutch problem?
I have an exedy twin disk cermatallic clutch and today i was going to practice some launchs because i was planning on going to the track. i was in my driveway long flat road no gravel or anything to slip on. get the car up to 5500 and slip the clutch get a good launch and just do a 1st 2nd pull.
no noises no problems driving. i pull down to my house jump out open up my garage and go to hop back in and put the car in reverse. NOTHING wont go in try all other gears nothing, finaly im able to kinda jam it in first move the car drive it shifts of when the car is moving. i stop again same thing happens.
turn the car off and it goes through the gears with no problems. i talked to a friend, i believe this is a sprung clutch and he said that one of the springs could have broke or something. any ideas guys?

Mines doing the same thing. If you still have the stock line with the restricter pill in it will do it. I ordered and new and am just now getting my s1's and all in so i can throw the line on. I let yall know if it fixes my issues. (not trying to jack your thread just letting you know that im having the same issues and everyone that ie talked to at gsc and other shops said the same thing.)
One thing that Scottatyamaha showed me the other day is that to make it go into reverse you have to put into another gear first to stop the sychros sometimes. I just got a freshly rebuilt tranny so i doubt its the sychros since mines do the same thing. He has the ACT in his car and he had the same problem. I adjusted my clutch pedal and all. When im at red lights i usually just kind of try to work my way into third or fourth then once into those gears the thing will slip in first no problem, same goes for reverse.
